Known for years by the fishermen and the local divers as 'the Steamship' was finally identify in the year 2000 thanks to the recover of the bell. The wreck lays on the starboard side at the depth of 90 mt. But because the immense structures of the ship the minimum deep is 68 mt.

The ship left Hamburg (Germany) with final destination Genova (Italy), but got stuck in the Mediterranean sea in the beginning of the conflict, in the year 1941 was part of the Mittelmeer Reederei a military society created by the German party for the control of the 50 ships having German flag concentrated in Italian waters. The ship was torpedoed and sunk by an English submarine the 23 July 1941, near Cape of ARMA.
